Why this piece exists

 

This image was chosen for print because its quiet, single-subject composition carries well at this size. The heron keeps its presence without crowding the page, and the bare space around it stays as much a part of the picture as the bird.

Who this print is for

 

This print suits collectors drawn to single birds, quiet composition and the old symbolism of the heron as a patient watcher. The Egyptians tied the heron to the rising sun and to first light, which is where this piece takes its name. It settles well in calm, considered interiors.
