How These Paintings Are Made
Each artwork begins with a photograph, then grows through hand painted digital layers. Every brushstroke is placed with care and patience.
Colour and texture build until the spirit of the raven feels alive. Human made. No AI. The same attention I bring to watercolour, translated into digital craft.

Who creates these prints?
Every piece in the Guardian Raven Collection is created by me, one artist working from my studio. Each design begins with a photograph, then develops through layers of hand painted digital work until the atmosphere of the piece feels alive. No AI, no prompts, no algorithms. Only imagination, patience, and craft.
How are the prints made?
All prints are professionally produced by a specialist studio on high quality art paper. The result is rich in colour and detail, capturing the texture and mood I build in the artwork. Each print is checked carefully before postage to make sure it is of high quality and free from defects, creases, or damage.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Most orders are packed and sent within a week. Once dispatched, they usually arrive within a few days. Each print is carefully wrapped so that it reaches you safely. A5 and A4 prints are sent flat with a sturdy backing board for protection in transit.
What if my order is delayed, lost, or damaged?
Very occasionally, a parcel can go astray or arrive damaged. If that happens, contact me and I will send a replacement at no extra cost. I want you to enjoy your print, not worry about the post.
What sizes do the prints come in?
Prints are available in standard UK A sizes:
- A5
- A4
You can easily find frames online or in shops without needing anything custom.
Do you have any framing advice?
I usually recommend using a frame one size larger than your print. For example:
- A4 frame for an A5 print
- A3 frame for an A4 print
This leaves a clean border around the artwork so it can breathe, and helps to prevent the edges from pressing against the glass.
Who packs and sends the prints?
I do. Every print is checked, packed by hand, and sent from my office with care and attention.
